After 25 years in our house we decided to build an art studio. One rainy day during construction I dug clay from the bottom of a soggy foundation trench before it was filled with concrete. I presented it to Bridget unceremoniously, in a muddy bag, with a flippant challenge to make something from it. Weeks later we were stunned when she presented us with this wonderful piece, with its subtle references to our new building, on our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We feel honoured to own such a beautiful work of art that celebrates our marriage, carries within it material from our treasured home and was created with skill and imagination.
