Summertime

The theme for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year was Climate and, having made a number of new works for the Terra Mater exhibition at Tremenheere Sculpture Park I thought that I had the perfect piece. It seems that Alison Wilding RA the co-ordinator for this year thought so too because Planet Under Pressure was accepted and given a space in the Rotunda, Wohl Central Hall.

Planet Under Pressure

Imagine my delight when this piece sold before the exhibition has even opened to the public. Someone must share my feelings about poor old planet Earth! I am so happy that is has been bought and hope that it will spark many a conversation about this place that we call home.

Congratulations Bridget! It’s beautiful … and poignant. And reminds me of Japanese kintsukoroi x

    1. Thanks Angela. I am glad that it reminds you of Kintsukoroi. The idea of valuing damage and history was in my mind at the time.
